Editorial policy

This page describes how content on Clinic Partner Guide is produced, checked and corrected. It describes the checks the publishing system actually enforces, not an aspiration.

How a page is made

  1. A topic is chosen because a specific decision is hard to make well today.
  2. The entities involved are researched and recorded as structured data, with each fact carrying the source it came from and the date it was retrieved.
  3. The page is written against that data by a named author.
  4. Automated checks run before publication. A page that fails a blocking check is not published.
  5. Pages of type versus, review, provider_profile, best_x, explainer, guide, research additionally require a named reviewer.

Sourcing

Every source is recorded with its publisher, its URL, the date we retrieved it and a tier describing what kind of source it is, from regulatory and peer-reviewed at the top, through official primary documentation, down to vendor statements and user-generated content.

A page that helps someone make a commercial decision must carry at least 4 sources, and its strongest source must be at least official primary. Pages that do not meet this are blocked from publication.

How we distinguish fact from claim

Statements are labelled by how they were established: a verified fact we checked against a primary source, a provider claim we are reporting but have not verified, our own editorial assessment, or something users have reported. These are styled differently so an unverified marketing statement never borrows the authority of a checked one.

Scores

We do not publish numeric scores on this site. The available evidence does not support ranking these options to a decimal place, and a number would imply a precision we cannot honestly claim.

Freshness

Prices and availability change. Each such fact stores the date it was last verified and is displayed with that date. After 45 days a fact is marked as needing a re-check rather than being presented as current, and pages relying on stale facts are blocked from publication until they are re-verified.

AI use

We use automated tooling for research assistance, drafting support and mechanical checks. Automated output is not treated as evidence: a fact only reaches a page if it carries a source a reader can follow. Every page is published under a named human author who is accountable for it.
