This page states our commercial relationships plainly, because a comparison you cannot audit is worth very little.

How we make money

What money does not buy

• Inclusion in a comparison. Which options we cover is an editorial decision.
• Position or an award. Rankings and best-for picks come from the published methodology, and the system rejects an award the underlying data contradicts — for example a “best value” award on an option that is not the cheapest.
• Removal of an accurate, sourced limitation.

How references to related businesses work

Where a related business is genuinely relevant to a reader, our system can propose a reference. It cannot place one. Every cross-domain reference requires a recorded human approval, must state why it helps the reader of that specific page, and is limited to 1 per page. There is deliberately no mechanism by which publishing an article causes a link to appear.
